6th Kentucky Hospital

6th Kentucky Regimental Field Hospital

We are here to educate and inform the public about the practice of medicine in the 1860's.  We are a military field hospital similar to a MASH unit in that we travel with our regiment and treat the men for injuries and illnesses.  We travel around Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana to Civil War reenactments where we put on our impression of an active aid station or field hospital.  There are certain events where we are the only Confederate Medical Unit.  This gives us the chance to interact with other groups and to "treat" all the injured.

There are different roles that can be had in the medical unit.  These include:  Intern, Stewards, Nurses, (male or female) and Attendants.
